Description

This is a one of a kind Custom Shop Fender Stratocaster built by John Cruz. It was made for the 2005 NAMM show and, until now, was in the hands of a private collector who will remain unnamed. It is not only one of a kind for having been built specifically for the NAMM show by one of the most highly acclaimed to ever work for the Fender custom shop, but it also very well could be the only tangerine over gold flake guitars ever built by Fender. To clarify, this is not a sparkle finish. It's real gold flake, assumed to be 18-22 karat, under a transparent tangerine coat. Pictures do not bring justice to just how brilliant this finish is. Whatever light may be available in a room is drawn to this guitar. It glows as if being electrically charged, sort of like one of those bioluminecent plants you might see on the Discovery Channel. The neck is not your ordinary type of flamed. It's the finest maple one could imagine with stripes similar to that of a zebra. It has a terrifically comfortable medium profile and is equipped with medium wide frets. It is stamped as the 163rd John Cruz custom shop strat produced by Fender and has written on the heel that it was built for NAMM 2005 to 1960 spec. If you want to get an idea of what the neck feels like, a 1960 strat may give you a good idea. The guitar weighs in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces. The original case is included as well as the original tremolo arm and bridge cover but sadly I do not have any paperwork, booklet, or anything of that nature. The stamps on the guitar speak for themselves. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I will be cycling new pictures of the guitar into the listing daily with different types of lighting to further demonstrate its magnificence. I'm happy to discuss the guitar at length or send pictures of anything in particular you are interested in seeing, just send me a message describing your request in full. Thank you as always for looking and please have a great day!
