Elliot Easton was one of the first people to become a patron of Fender's Custom Shop when it started in the mid 1980's (back when it was pretty much an exclusive thing to the rich and famous). And one of the first guitars the Fender Custom Shop made is this Sea Foam Green 1985 Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Thinline - which Elliot Easton mentions and shows a picture of himself in this forum post.

Here's the photo of it - http://www.tdpri.com/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi26.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fc148%2Fellioteaston%2FIMG_1554.jpg&hash=0c0654e61a085ef4428dcaae0b312d26

There's also a 1987 Door to Door era promo photo somewhere on the web of Elliot holding this guitar with the rest of The Cars.
