Description

The Guild X-350 Stratford Hollowbody is a contemporary re-imagination of Guild's vintage luxury model from the 1950s. Its full hollow body construction, complete with an elegantly arched spruce top and spruce tone bar bracing, gives it an iconic airy tonality. It offers a world of tonal possibilities, thanks to the three Franz P90 single coil pickups that produce biting growls and clean, jazzy chimes.

The intuitive controls allow for easy navigation through the tonal palette of the three pickups. A traditional three-way pickup selector controls the Bridge and Neck pickup, while a designated volume knob blends the middle pickup into any configuration. Complementing the variety of tones is a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece for expressive playing.

The Guild X-350 Stratford is not just about great sound; it's also about great looks. The fully bound body, neck, F-holes, and headstock, combined with the mother-of-pearl block fretboard inlays, add a touch of elegance to the overall design.

The X-350 was among Guild's best-selling high-end guitars of the 1950s, it was discontinued in 1965 though. Somewhat surprisingly, its most visible proponent has been Barry Gibb, who played both a sunburst and a blonde(originally was called X-375, renamed to X-350B in 1958) version on stage in the 1960s and 1970s, including The Midnight Show & Soundstage 1975.
