Description
The Harmony Meteor is a semi-hollowbody electric guitar that strikes the perfect chord between vintage allure and modern playability. A cherished piece among musicians, the Meteor captures the essence of timeless sound with its spruce top and maple back and sides, creating a sonic depth that resonates with warmth and clarity. This iconic instrument, beloved by legends like Keith Richards, is known for its robust acoustic projection and remarkable tonal character.
At the heart of its sound are the DeArmond gold foil pickups, revered for their cutting twang and rich harmonic midrange. Whether you're playing soulful blues or electrifying rock, these pickups deliver a balanced output with tight bass and vibrant high-end clarity. The Meteor's fully hollow body enhances the tonal experience, producing a natural resonance and immediate attack that only a spruce and maple combination can offer.
Designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, the Meteor features a Brazilian rosewood fretboard adorned with block inlays, and a sturdy maple neck shaped in a substantial U profile for a comfortable grip. Its vintage-style hardware, including a harp tailpiece and "mustache" pickup covers, adds a touch of retro flair, while the elegantly appointed brown cupcake knobs offer intuitive control over your sound.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or a passionate beginner, the Harmony Meteor invites you to explore a realm of musical possibilities with its rich tones and classic design.

In this photo from google images you can see Keith Richards using a Harmony Meteor H70 which he used predominantly in the early days of the Rolling Stones.
According to this website, this Harmony Meteor is Dave Davies' first guitar, used on "You really got me".
He praises this guitar in Music Radar interview.
“What’s really special about these kind of guitars - whether they be Harmony, Silvertone or Kay - is they run this DeArmond Gold Foil pickup.
“It’s extremely hot and rude. It’s prone to feedback, but there’s something very special about them; they’re very trashy and fat. They’ll give you anything from country to a Black Sabbath kind of sound.”
Seen in the pic, Dann used the Meteor H74, with the Bigsby bridge removed for a handful of Murder City Devils shows in 2014
