Description
Meet the Ibanez ALT30 Altstar: a bridge between the electric rush and the acoustic soul, designed specifically for electric guitarists yearning to venture into the acoustic realm without losing the comfort and playability they're accustomed to. This acoustic-electric hybrid boasts a unique set of features that cater to the electric enthusiast's touch, while offering the rich, resonant tones that define acoustic performance.
The ALT30’s slim dreadnought body and 15.7” fingerboard radius enhance playability, making it feel right at home in the hands of an electric guitarist. With tighter string spacing and a 25.5” scale length, transitioning from electric to acoustic has never been smoother. One of the Altstar's standout attributes is its neck, joining the body at the 16th fret — a thoughtful design choice that grants effortless access to the upper frets, thus broadening your expressive range.
Crafted with a Spruce top and Sapele back and sides, the ALT30 combines classic tonewoods for a sound that's both dynamic and warm. The Maple neck and Laurel fingerboard ensure a comfortable, responsive playing experience. For those ready to take their sound to the stage, the Ibanez AEQ2U onboard electronics provide the versatility needed for gigging, as well as home jam sessions.

Close- but just misses
Has a good sound, but... I bought it hoping to get an instrument like my old Ibanez atl10.... but it’s not quite there. Unplugged it’s great, but too much pick up noise.
