Beautiful guitar that plays well
I've never really appreciated the typical acoustic guitar look, with the light spruce blond-colored top. So during my search for a guitar that didn't have that, the AW54 quickly entered the picture. I loved that it was all mahogany, with an solid-wood top, and I was also intrigued by the satin "open pore" finish. But to be honest, the online pictures did not look that great. I am so happy that when one popped up locally, I went and checked it out. Because as soon as I saw it with my own eyes, I knew I had found my guitar. It is visually spectacular. The color is perfect, the wood feels so natural, it's just comfortable to hold. And I'm not a great guitar player, but it felt and played so much nicer than any other guitar I had tried (short of a Taylor 3xx series) that I knew I was holding something special. If you want an excellent guitar that doesn't look like every other guitar, give the AW54ce serious consideration.
