Critic Reviews

Ibanez SDR1000 Digital Reverb/Delay (IM Dec 86)

muzines.co.uk

The Ibanez SDR1000 is a dual-channel digital reverb/delay unit that offers excellent programmability, allowing users to independently customize two mono effects or combine them for true stereo output. While the SDR1000's price might seem excessive compared to rivals like the Roland DEP-5 and Yamaha SPX-90, which offer more effects for less money, its unique ability to process two audio channels simultaneously sets it apart. However, its limited 10kHz bandwidth and lack of modulation effects like flanging/phasing are notable drawbacks. The SDR1000 is ideal for users seeking fine control over reverb/delay effects and willing to invest more for this specialization.
