Critic Reviews

JoeMeek Three Q

soundonsound.com

The Joe Meek ThreeQ is a solid entry-level recording channel offering a clean, transparent preamp, a vintage-flavored EQ, and a characterful optical compressor. While it excels in preserving the essence of the classic Joemeek sound, it falls short with its limited mid-band EQ control and the fixed compression ratio may not suit every user's needs. This reimagined processor provides great value for its price, merging essential features with a hint of vintage charm, making it a creative tool for those seeking a dynamic and colorful sound.

Good for the price.

Nice preamp OPTO compressor is tough to use. Don't use the EQ much. Seems like it would be good for live, I don't use it on vocals much. Wish I'd saved more as usual

"Back to the studio, a glorified word for my space. I use third-party plugins, Gforce’s Oddity 2 being my favourite. I have a few external synths, an MPC, a Joe Meek Q3 that I put my vocals through, a few mics - oh and a load of backup hard drives.”
