You can pair this effect unity with any playable gear and get professional effects!

This gear is a nobrainer to use with symple interface and tons of amazing pressets of effects that are going to take you to another world. If you like to experiment with lots of different sources of music and sound this small thing will take you to music enlightenment. I’m not kidding! Korg made something very wright when gave birth to this equipment. I’m not the only one that backs up this portable wizzard of effects in a box. I have plugged this thing to my electric guitar and got amazed with the new peofessional sounds it produced. If you don’t believe go check it out on youtube the Ibanez Kaoss Guitar with one of this unitys built in on the body. For me music is about experiences and a constant search for new sounds. The korg Kaossilator is something that brings all of this with a small footprint and have one of a kind expression control with its X Y Pad. Thumbs up for Korg for this acclaimed product. I did not got paid to say this and would criticize it if I have any cons, but I don’t. My only wish is that Korg keep on with this family of products and improove it with memory, with more patches, midi in and out, usb C connectivity and integration with Apple, Android and Windows devices. But keep it small! The volca series of synths will need a better companion.

Has as many shortcomings as cool things.

If you never played a Kaoss pad, this will be sure to make you smile and play for hours.

If like me you played KP1, KP2, KP3, KP3+, KP Quad... This just feels like a toy. Yes it can be battery operated, yes it has an headphone outputs, and yes it is super cool to have with small synths like the Korg Volcas or Roland mini.

It's all plastic and unfortunately does not feel sturdy at all. You better keep it in a case if you are to carry it around.

I would still buy a full-sized KP2 over this any day, and they sell for the same price used as a brand new Mini KP2. The portability is not worth the shortcomings. The Kaoss pad is made to be mashed and not be precise, but some effects and sounds are so good you would really want it to be more precise and write and save patterns. The full-sized KP2 does that.

You can also use the unit as a conventional audio player; save your favorite songs on a card and use the mini kaoss pad 2S to apply effects for fun. No other equipment is required.

powered-up mini kaoss pad 2, the mini kaoss pad 2S ("S" for sampler) is a powerful DJ effect unit that fits in the palm of your hand. It includes the familiar KORG touchpad, which allows you to intuitively control 100 different effects, and a sampler function that makes it easy to load and trigger a variety of sounds. Whether you are playing or performing, you'll have more fun than ever with the powerful mini kaoss pad 2S.
