Description

Unleash a world of musical creativity with the le strum, a unique MIDI controller that blends the charm of a Stylophone with the versatility of an Omnichord. Perfect for both beginners and seasoned musicians, this device invites you to explore dynamic chord mapping and strumming techniques like never before.

The le strum is designed to unlock a spectrum of sounds, from lush, ambient chords to punchy, melodic sequences. Its magic lies in the ability to harness dynamics and effects, such as envelope attack and release, or reverb and delay, to tailor your musical output. Whether you're layering rich harmonies or crafting catchy melodies, the le strum responds beautifully to your touch.

One of its standout features is the dual MIDI channel output. With "Organ Buttons" enabled, the le strum can simultaneously drive two MIDI channels. Channel 2 handles chord triads, while channel 1 springs to life with your stylus strums. To make the most of this, configure your synth setup to assign different sounds to each channel, unlocking the full potential of this innovative controller.

Whether you're a bedroom producer or an on-stage performer, the le strum is ready to redefine your musical journey. Dive into a new dimension of sound creation and let your imagination lead the way.

Key Features:

  • Unique MIDI controller with chord mapping and strumming
  • Supports dynamic play with envelope and effects like reverb/delay
  • Dual MIDI channel output for layered sound control
  • Compatible with a wide range of synthesizers and sound modules
  • Ideal for creating both lush chordy textures and punchy melodies

Le Strum MIDI Chord Controller ‘Like A Cross Between A Stylophone & An Omnichord’ – Synthtopia

synthtopia.com

Le Strum is an intriguing MIDI chord controller that combines the playful essence of a Stylophone and the versatile nature of an Omnichord, offering users a fun and accessible way to explore chord progressions. With its 36 chord buttons providing access to 84 chords, it serves as a valuable tool for songwriting and musical experimentation. However, some critiques arise regarding its aesthetic, as the exposed components can be a turn-off for those seeking a polished look. While the price point is commendable, the lack of enclosure may deter potential buyers. Overall, Le Strum shines in functionality but may leave some users wanting more in terms of design.

a unique and surprisingly powerful bit of gear

I feel like I've only scratched the surface of what this little piece of kit can do. Incredible design by sixtyfour pixels and a whole lot of fun. Can't wait to start modding it in ridiculous ways.
