Manjaro Linux Review: Arch Linux for Human Being

itsfoss.com

Manjaro Linux emerges as an accessible bridge to the world of Arch without the steep learning curve. Its easy installation, robust hardware detection, and diverse desktop environment options make it a standout choice for both newcomers and seasoned users. The rolling release model is praised for its stability, allowing users to enjoy the latest features without the typical risks associated with such systems. However, the review hints at some dated performance comparisons and a lack of depth in certain areas, which could leave advanced users wanting more. Overall, Manjaro strikes an impressive balance, making it a compelling option for anyone looking to dive into Linux.

Tux Machines — Review: Manjaro Linux 24.0

tuxmachines.org

Manjaro Linux 24.0 delivers an installation process as smooth as silk, but it's not without its pitfalls. The software manager's failures overshadow the otherwise promising experience, leaving users scratching their heads. While the ease of setup and the flexibility of Plasma 6 are commendable, minor annoyances like erratic terminal behaviors and the non-functional desktop cube dampen the joy. Manjaro's attempts to simplify the traditionally manual Arch experience are appreciated, yet the glaring bugs and lack of polish suggest that this release needs more time in the oven. Overall, it's a mixed bag that shows potential but requires significant fixes to truly shine.

Want an elegant, user-friendly Windows alternative? Try Manjaro 23.0 with KDE Plasma | ZDNET

zdnet.com

Manjaro 23.0 with KDE Plasma offers a user-friendly escape from Windows, marrying the reliability of Arch Linux with a polished interface. While its rolling release model ensures you stay updated without hassle, the default aesthetics may feel basic compared to other distributions. Nonetheless, it's easy to navigate, customizable, and perfect for multitaskers with its window tiling feature. If you’re seeking a stable, flexible OS that feels familiar yet fresh, Manjaro is a strong contender, even if it lacks a little flair out of the box.

Manjaro Linux 24: A Great Release with Many Improvements

debugpoint.com

Manjaro 24 “Wynsdey” brings significant enhancements, especially with its sleek KDE Plasma 6 interface, making it visually stunning and highly functional. The user-friendly installation process and multiple kernel options cater to both modern and older hardware users. However, it requires a robust machine, which may alienate those with less powerful setups. While the performance is generally smooth, some users could encounter resource strain with heavier applications. Overall, it's a strong contender in the Arch Linux landscape, balancing aesthetics with usability, but not without its hardware demands.

Everyday Linux User Review of Manjaro Linux « Everyday Linux User

everydaylinuxuser.com

Manjaro Linux presents a sleek, fast experience, especially with its impressive boot time and useful Synapse search tool. However, the installation process can be daunting for newcomers, with reported issues like boot failures and problematic multimedia support. While the package management system is functional, it lacks some intuitive features, leaving users frustrated when trying to install applications. This distro is a mixed bag—great for experienced users but potentially overwhelming for beginners.

Manjaro Linux Review: In-depth Look At Features, Hardware Support

debugpoint.com

Manjaro Linux showcases an impressive blend of user-friendliness and robust performance, especially for those transitioning from Arch Linux. The GNOME 42 desktop shines with its sleek design and efficient resource management, making it a great choice even for older hardware. However, the distribution stumbles with certain hardware compatibility issues, particularly with legacy NVIDIA graphics cards and printer integration. While these hiccups may deter some users, the overall experience remains solid, marking Manjaro as a compelling option for both beginners and seasoned Linux enthusiasts.

i love this os, specifically the KDE version

the only thing i have an issue with, and why i can't run it full time is software support. if it had better software support from people like ableton and the like, i would never touch windows again.
