Description
The Martin DX1RAE is where classic craftsmanship meets modern innovation, offering an affordable gateway into the storied world of Martin guitars. This dreadnought acoustic-electric marvel promises not only the iconic Martin tonality but also an environmentally conscious construction. Boasting a solid Sitka spruce top paired with Indian rosewood-patterned high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides, this guitar delivers rich, resonant sound with clarity that resonates from the first strum.
Designed for comfort and playability, the DX1RAE features a Performing Artist neck profile, making it an excellent choice for both intricate fingerstyle and robust strumming. The neck, crafted from Rust Stratabond, is a multilayered wood creation, renowned for its strength and the articulate sustain it provides. The inclusion of Fishman Sonitone electronics ensures that the guitar sounds just as impressive plugged in as it does acoustically, with volume and tone controls discreetly housed within the soundhole for easy access.
Perfect for live performances, studio sessions, or casual jam sessions, the DX1RAE combines traditional Martin aesthetics with modern-day functionality. Whether you're a seasoned performer or an aspiring musician, this guitar offers exceptional value without compromising on sound or build quality.

Beautiful and Affordable
A beautiful guitar as almost all Martin's are. It's one of the lowest priced non-little Martin guitars that you can purchase. It has great action, a gorgeous solid wood top, and a full sound.

is this one of the import ones I've been hearing about?

It's a martin, it says it all
For me Maritn has always been the best acoustic guitar brand I've ever played with, and D-16RGT sums it all up with a beautiful folk guitar that even when playing unplugged, still has a pretty solid and clear sound, rare to see in other instruments likewise.
