This grand performance-sized model has a Sitka spruce top and figured rosewood pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides. The result is a beautiful instrument that's as impressive to look at as it is to play.
The GPC-X2E features a solid FSC Certified Richlite fingerboard and bridge, and is equipped with Fishman Sonitone electronics. It also boasts a Venetian cutaway and Martin's Performance Artist neck profile with High Performance Taper and a hand-rubbed finish, making the entire fret smoother and more comfortable for your hands.
This model also comes with a new mother-of-pearl pattern inlay on the rosette and fingerboard, and a scalloped spruce X bracing. The compensated white TUSQ saddle, white corian nut, multi-stripe rosette, and chrome enclosed gear tuners are other notable features. And let's not forget the faux tortoise pickguard, which adds a touch of elegance.

Obsessed with this guitar
I'm a hobbyist musician. Have been playing guitar on and off since I was a kid. Have only owned 1 acoustic guitar before this (a $300 Fender Acoustic-Electric), and have gotten to play on probably under 50 unique acoustic guitars in total.
With that said, this is the best quality acoustic guitar I have ever played, let alone owned, especially for the $700 prize point. I'm a bit biased since I've always wanted to own a Martin brand guitar, but It absolutely has lived up to the reputation. Have owned it for a only around 3 or 4 years now.
It has a full sound, perfect balance between warm and present, stays in tune for months, and plays well outdoors, indoors, mic'd, and direct line in. Feels solid in my arms, no wiggle room, fragile feeling parts, or cheap qualities. Has taken one or two bonks like a champ. Comfortable to hold, even more comfortable to listen to.
