Surprisingly Solid Rack

The Midas Legend L6 is a surprisingly inexpensive 500 series chassis. It meets all of the specs of the API spec and also seems to take a lot of the 500 series chassis design problems very seriously too. The power supply is well shielded and from my initial tests seems to have very good analogue audio paths.

The connections are all on solid XLR, and has twin inputs and outputs for each module, with switches for audio pass through to the next module in the line.

It's maybe not quite as flexible as some of the units that are nearly 5x to 10x the price of the Midas, but it seems a well built, functional chassis for a portable 500 series chassis. It also has the power switch on the front, which may seem trivial, but I've never understood power switches on the rear of rack gear...
