An exceptional, inspiring guitar that lives up to the anniversary hype.
I wanted something truly special and versatile — a guitar that feels amazing to play and sounds incredible across styles. The 30th Anniversary edition ticked both boxes: it’s a meaningful milestone model from PRS and an upgrade in both tone and aesthetics.
The 85/15 pickups are a standout — clear, balanced, plenty of headroom, and very musical. They’re voiced in a way that bridges classic warmth and modern clarity — articulate highs, tight lows, and great response to picking dynamics.
Plugged in, this guitar sings... Cleans are clear, chimey, and articulate without being brittle. Crunch has a rich midrange and definition that keeps chords from getting muddy. High gain is punchy and tight, yet still musical — not brittle or fizzy.
