BEAST
I come from the "Mesa Boogie is KING" genre of music and time, but when I saw a demo of the Archon on YouTube I needed to hear it with my own ears. This amp RIPs high gain, full, warm and meaty tones for hard rock and modern metal. The cleans are very crisp and warm as well. My only con-s for this amazing and pricey amp are that it has only two channels. Clean and Lead. If PRS puts a third channel on this bad boy in the future it will be unstoppable.

In this post pat shows off his prs archon amp. He states that this is a “can’t pass it up” amp
According to a Premier Guitar rig rundown video hosted by Perry Bean, Ryan Primack uses a PRS Archon amplifier alongside a Bad Cat Lynx to cover both 6L6 and EL34 territories. Primack describes the Archon as a "refined 5150," which he runs through an Orange 4x12 cabinet.
"She plays through PRS Archon 100 amps and Traynor YBX212 120-watt vertical slanted cabinets, some of which are outfitted with plexi-glass casing designed by Trinity Amps."
“Finding the right amp can be a life-long journey. There always seems to be an imperfection in design covered up by excess features. For the multi-genre player, It is nearly impossible to find one amp for all styles until now. The ARCHON delivers the best clean and dirty channels I've ever heard in one amp. Finally, I get to just plug in and play.”
IN this video Trey reviews the dunable dave davison pedal. for this demo, trey runs the pedal through his prs archon amp
“For bands with one guitarist, sometimes finding the fullness from the layered tracks on your record can be a pain live. You'll always be looking for that blend of amp heads or guitar pedals to replicate that perfect tone. Paul Reed Smith's Archon is finally an amp head that can achieve that, and with so many options, you aren't limited to one particular sound. This amp does it all from crystal clear cleans to raw heaviness; it caters to the needs of literally any type of player. PRS really knocked it out of the park with this one! It's definitely found a permanent place in my live rig!”
