Radial's PowerTube Preamp delivers the warm, vintage tube sound that many musicians crave, effortlessly handling a range of audio sources with grace. With solid build quality and a user-friendly layout, it excels in providing smooth vocals and rich acoustic guitar tones. However, its lack of a direct input option for those without Radial racks may disappoint some users, particularly when tracking bass or synths. Additionally, while it offers up to 60 dB of gain, quieter sources may require a bit more. Still, for everyday use, the PowerTube stands as a reliable workhorse, making it a worthy investment for those seeking quality and character in their recordings.

for vocal streaming and recording matt uses radial rack gear. He runs his mics first through the preamp that runs alongside the commet compressor and the eq 3. this then runs to his first interface that goes to his laptop running logic. from the laptop the logic signal runs to his second interface to go to his streaming pc. the second interface brings signal to his streaming pc thus allowing the viewers to hear what he is playing
