Schecter C-1 SGR: Price, Specs and Best Deals | FindMyGuitar

findmyguitar.com

The Schecter C-1 SGR guitar, though affordable, falls short in several critical areas. While its low price point is attractive, it is reflected in the build quality, with cheap fret wire and lack of premium components like locking tuners or high-quality pickups. The guitar’s sound and playability scores are average at best, and the absence of features like a tremolo or versatile switch options limit its appeal. Made in China, it suffers from standard mass-production issues, evident in its lower build quality score. Although it might suit beginners or those with small hands due to its comfortable neck, experienced players may find it lacking in durability and tonal versatility. Overall, the review leans negative, suggesting potential buyers consider these trade-offs carefully.

Schecter C-1 SGR Electric Guitar Review

guitarniche.com

The Schecter C-1 SGR Electric Guitar emerges as a stand-out choice for beginners seeking quality without a hefty price tag. Its 24-fret neck and unique aesthetics, including a sleek arched top and polished black chrome hardware, offer impressive playability and visual appeal. While some setup adjustments may be necessary to eliminate fret buzz, its overall sound and ergonomic design make it a valuable entry-level option. However, advanced players might find the pickups lacking compared to pricier models. Nevertheless, for newcomers, the C-1 SGR is both a practical and stylish investment, complete with a branded gig bag.

An excellent guitar for an entry-level metal guitarist

This guitar handles low tunings such as A and A# extremely well without fret buzz. It has a very mean, heavy-weight sound on the low end for chugs. but also a very clear, solid sound on the mid and high end. You can hear every string sound off no matter what chord you play. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone who is an entry-level metal player.

Awesome Guitar

This guitar i bought for 99 bucks on amazon for christmas and it plays just like schecters of much higher prices. I highly recommend using Ernie Ball RPS Power Slinkys for this guitar because they sound great at all tunigns

jak_mordor

Love it.

Used this on the first Mordor album. Now used lower tunings. Low bass sound on it.
