The SeventySeven Albatross Jazz Guitar is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, crafted for musicians who appreciate the subtleties of jazz and blues. This semi-hollowbody electric guitar is designed with the discerning player in mind, offering both sonic richness and visual elegance.
At its core, the Albatross features a spruce top, renowned for its articulate tonal clarity and resonance, paired with a chambered okoumé back that enhances its natural warmth. This thoughtful combination results in a lightweight instrument that sings with depth and character, ideal for extended performances. The maple neck and micarta fingerboard provide a smooth and stable playing experience, ensuring precision and comfort across the fretboard.
The aesthetics of the Albatross are as refined as its sound, with tortoiseshell binding and half-herringbone purfling contributing to its timeless appeal. The meticulous craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the hand-polished frets to the discreet dot markers, making it as much a visual delight as it is a sonic masterpiece.
Equipped with two SeventySeven AL2 pickups featuring Alnico 2 magnets, the guitar produces a warm, singing tone with smooth highs and rounded mids. These pickups are versatile enough to accommodate a range of genres, though they truly shine in jazz and blues settings. Part of the Japan Tune-Up Series, each Albatross is carefully adjusted by skilled luthiers in Japan to ensure exceptional playability right out of the case.
