Squier Vintage Modified Series Jaguar HH review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar HH is a solid choice for rock enthusiasts and fans of Kurt Cobain. It boasts a comfortable neck and powerful Duncan Designed humbuckers, delivering impressive tones for its price range. However, its aesthetics aren't universally appealing, and the bulky controls and odd jackplate design may detract from its overall charm. Despite these quirks, the guitar's vibrant sound and playability make it an attractive option for those seeking a retro-inspired instrument with modern performance.

Overall a nice guitar, as good as more expensive instruments easily.

This is quite a nice guitar, especially at it's price point. One of it's main features is the 24" scale length. To me, this is very useful as i have smaller hands than many. Therefore, it is easier to play than my Stratocaster. The neck profile is a C shape, that is chunky but not so much as to be hard to wrap my hands around. The offset body shape makes the guitar stand out looks wise, and is excedingly comfortable when sitting or standing. The electronics are of a good quality, and the stacked volume/tone knobs are a cool feature. One problem for some would be the bridge pickup - it is quite bright sounding. The neck pickup has a punchy and well rounded tone, that works especialy well for blues and classic rock. My only real problem with the instrument is the bridge, it is poorly designed and hard to adjust.

Overall, i feel that this guitar is very good for anyone who likes to play rockier music, especially if you are on a budget.

Great modding Platform

This guitar has treated me well through out the years. I've modded it to the point that it barley has any of the original parts!
