Ultrasheer - Vongon - Waveform Magazine

waveformmagazine.com

Vongon’s Ultrasheer is a stunningly crafted pedal that balances beauty and functionality with its hand-polished walnut enclosure and robust sound. The lush reverb, modeled after the iconic Lexicon 224, and the innovative pitch vibrato create a captivating sonic landscape, perfect for both guitarists and modular synth enthusiasts. While its simplicity—just two effects with straightforward controls—might deter some who crave complex options, it actually encourages creative exploration. However, at $419, the price tag is steep, and those looking for a do-it-all pedal may find it lacking in versatility. Still, for those who appreciate quality and aesthetics, Ultrasheer is a worthy investment that delivers delightful sound without overwhelming choices.

Without a doubt, this is my favorite pedal that I've picked up this year... plugged it in and immediately had to have it. This is a forever, take it to the grave pedal for me. This is a stereo reverb and stereo pitch vibrato in one pedal. The reverb side here on the right is based off a 1978 Lexicon 224, which is one of the original digital studio reverbs. It's incredibly famous. You've heard it time and time again on countless records. And then we have a digital pitch vibrato with some really cool options.
