Description

The AE20 (shown in White) has been marketed at the AE20 Festival, AE20 Monterey, AE20 Woodstock, in addition, there have also been signature model variants (see below). * Vantage also marketed a remarkablely similiar (idential?) model: Vantage VA-50-LCET

Back in early 80s, the EA20 pioneered unconventional sharp cutaway thin body, select spruce top with mahogany body, first in the market with oval soundhole called Festival Monterey, rosewood bound body, three-stripe rosette, mahogany neck, 21-frets rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, matching headstock with three-per-side Grover diecast tuners, rosewood bridge with pearl dot white pins, acoustic bridge pickup, Equis II with analog preamp electronics (see Festival EA20 EVOLUTION picture), available in Natural, Black, Tobacco Sunburst, White, Woodstone Blue, mfg. in 1980s-2000.

From mid ’90 until early 2000s, there were many variation / higher models, the Festival EA signature series as below mentioned. • The EA22B is the Nuno Bettencort Platinum Series (launced in 1994) which was in Black color. Nuno’s one of top hit recordings & performances “More Than Words” were played with this guitar • The EA28, EA32 (slightly thicker body) made in USA were introduced as part of Washburn Festival Series • The EA20X Mellisa is a signature series of Greg Allman (the Allman Brothers), with striking fretboard inlays of “Mellisa” • The EA26 is another signature series belong to Craig Chaquico the USA song writer • The EA36 Marquee with computer designed unique sound ports replaced the oval sound hole, a version which were endorsed by guitarist like John Hiatt (Nashville, 1994), Brooks (‘Slammin Clad’, 1998) • The EA2012WH which was played by John Lodge • The EA20WH played by George Harrison (Beatles, 1996) • The EA20TS played by Bob Dylan, 1996 • The EA15FTBS is a signature model of North Carolina Singer, Madonna Nash, 2010 - now • Etc … there are many other great guitarist names which are not mentioned here (like Paul Weller!!)
