The Washburn Paul Stanley Distortion pedal, more aptly described as an overdrive, offers a clear and silky sound for single-note leads but falters with chord clarity, descending into muddiness. It's not the pedal for high-gain metal enthusiasts, as its tones are better suited for classic rock or grunge. While built robustly, its tiny knobs feel fragile, and its limited versatility—despite four knobs—leaves much to be desired. The lack of a manual adds to its user-unfriendliness. This pedal is a one-trick pony: excellent for specific sounds but lacking as an all-purpose distortion tool.
