My only bass
Found this gem in a pawn shop down the street from me. Very solid, sturdy, and gets the job done. Use it mostly for recording or for filling in with a band.

Billy Sheehan of Winery Dogs and Mr. Big has used Yamaha basses for the majority of his career. Before the collaboration of Sheehan and Yamaha to build the "Attitude" series of basses, he played on a number of Yamaha BB Bass Guitars including a pink/purple one used for his tour with David Lee Roth and his signature series BB, the Yamaha BB714BS Bass.

“My (main) bass is an Ovation Magnum. Funnily enough, I’ve been using a Yamaha BB too. They told me – and they might have been saying a load of bollocks – that it’s been spun around in a machine so the molecules point a certain way. It doesn’t look much, but it really has got a very full-bodied sound, it’s very exact. It’s quite possible they were going, ‘I told that Jah Wobble, 'They spin this round…' and you know what, he believed me!’” - Jah Wobble.

Jimmy can be seen playing a Yamaha BB Bass Guitar in this live performance of the song "Stand Up and Shout" of of Dio's "Holy Diver" album at the Spectrum in 1984.
The liner notes of Toto IV read: "David Hungate uses Fender Bass." Yet on the back cover David Hungate can be seen playing a white Yamaha Bass
