Description

In the early 70's, a few years after the birth of FG-180, Yamaha introduced the FG-1500/FG-2000/FG-2500, a lineup of high-end acoustic guitars made of Hakaranda wood.

The signature of "Terry Nakamoto," who later left Yamaha and made a name for himself as a maker, is inscribed inside the soundhole, and this guitar has been passed down through the generations as an extremely valuable and highly regarded Japanese acoustic guitar.

The FG-2500 is positioned as a 12-string model of the FG-2000, the top-of-the-line 6-string model, and the top of the body is made of top-quality Ezo spruce. The sides and back are made of Brazilian rosewood, a wood with a beautiful grain that has become difficult to find today. Flamed maple is sandwiched in the middle of the 3-piece body, which is familiar to Yamaha's high-end models, creating a very nice contrast.
