Critic Reviews

Arturia MiniFreak V review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Arturia's MiniFreak V Hybrid Synthesizer Plug-in is a remarkable digital rendition of its hardware sibling, showcasing algorithmic oscillators that deliver a broad spectrum of tones. The modeling of the analog filter is particularly impressive, yielding warm and rich sounds. However, at a price point that feels steep for some, and with a monaural synth engine limiting its versatility, it may not be for everyone. Still, its powerful capabilities and flexibility make it a compelling choice for synth enthusiasts.

Versatile Synth

This is a very versatile synth that I can use for almost anything. It has a nice biting edge to it that is reminiscent of modular synths, while it also has unique tones and paraphony that evoke that vintage feel. Overall a really nice synth and I like that it mirrors the hardware as well.
