Arturia's Synclavier V impressively revives the legendary Synclavier, a digital synthesizer that once shaped a generation of musicians. This software emulation offers an intuitive interface, making it easier to navigate complex FM and additive synthesis than its original hardware counterpart. While it’s packed with features that could overwhelm, the clear interface and time-saving conveniences make it a joy to use. Ideal for those who want to explore unique synthesis options, it also serves as an excellent platform for creative sound design. However, the lack of tactile hardware controls might leave some craving the physical interaction of the original. Overall, Synclavier V is a stellar tribute to a classic instrument, offering a rich playground for sonic exploration.

Arturia's Synclavier V is a triumphant digital resurrection of the iconic Synclavier, lauded for its faithful synthesis capabilities and enhanced functionality. The collaboration with original designer Cameron Jones ensures authenticity, offering a near-complete Synclavier experience at a fraction of the original's cost. The software's expansive sound design options, including increased partials and modulation flexibility, are a standout. However, it lacks the original's sampling and HDR capabilities, which are now common in modern DAWs. Despite this, Synclavier V's elegant interface and vintage charm make it a compelling tool for both nostalgic users and new explorers of digital synthesis.

Purchased last month, already love it!

This is meant to be the perfect emulation and derived from Synclavier itself (apparently). I find the controls are intuitive and is easy to learn quickly. the amount of control it has to sculpt the sounds to your exact liking is very neat and unlike a lot of other soft synths on the market.

You get a lot of bang for the buck with this one and I highly recommend it especially if you like New wave and 80's style music! (or even 70's style synthesis).

I give it 3 stars for now.

I've giving this 3 stars because I just can't find a huge use for it yet... Iw as thinking crazy Danial Miller and Alan Wilder resynthesized sounds but I haven't hit on magic with it. I'm not even sure what everything is supposed to do because who the fuck ahs touched a real synclavier? they're STILL valuable, antiquated as they are. For retro sampling I am feeling a lot better abut the TAL sampler. My review might go up when I spend ore time with it, but I'm into making music, not dicking around for hours without finding the sound for my song. If I wanna jerk off I'll rent some porno.

Just getting started

Since it is a digital version of a digital synth with software from the original creator, should be very accurate.
