Critic Reviews

Audix OM Series

soundonsound.com

The Audix OM series of dynamic vocal microphones impresses with its solid construction and quality sound, making it a strong contender for both live and studio settings. The microphones offer a natural sound with defined vocals and effective feedback resistance. While the hypercardioid pattern requires precise positioning to avoid sensitivity drop-off, the overall performance across the models is commendable, with the more expensive units delivering added clarity. Despite some susceptibility to popping when used very close, these mics are well-balanced, durable, and backed by a five-year warranty, making them a reliable choice for professional use.

Solid. Comparable to an SM58.

Awesome mic. In my experience, this thing is really similar to the SM58 from Shure. A lot of people argue that the OM2 has better mid-range. I would agree with that statement.
