Description
Nathan Junior is our long time demo guitarist, a veteran of Portland indie rock, and now a non-profit organizer. Part of the proceeds for every Nathan Junior is going directly to Musical Independence - a non-profit organization in the small town of Independence OR whose mission is to provide much needed music lessons to citizens of all walks of life. Nathan has a building, a plan, and years of both teaching and music business experience.
We wanted to hit a different price point with the Nathan Junior amp…instead of our usual Mercury transformers/Jupiter capacitors combination we found some domestically produced components that sound fantastic and fit the form factor better. For 5 watts in a tiny package, it sounds shockingly big. We think it’s the perfect grab and go recording/ small gig combo.

An incredible little amp that never misses.
The Benson amps are hyped a lot, it's true, and some say they're overhyped. I don't know about all the hype, but I finally got one after debating for years and can share what I know: I've been playing it for the last several years and it's been used live as well as on several of my recordings.
This amp is the best I've ever owned, and more than enough for anything I've needed for. I use it in my home studio, I have used it live for shows, and have even played several shows where I've used it un-mic'd and it is more than loud enough. Bonus points for being really easy to load in and out for shows! This amp sounds phenomenal clean, and when the tubes warm up and you push it a bit, it gets that grit and crunch that I haven't ever heard replicated by a pedal.
The build quality is amazing. The finish is beautiful. I could write a lot longer of a review, but I'll settle for saying that to me, this is an heirloom amp that I will never sell. 5 stars, I can't say enough about it. Benson amps are worth the investment!
