Perfect Tube Amp for Late Night Headphone Use

The best tube amp I have found for late night headphones play. I use a set of Sony 7506 through the emulated speaker output on these and it sounds great. This is also perfect for hooking up to a cab (can even drive 4x12!) when you want to not piss off the neighbors. The 5 watt version is almost too loud for in house play. For great tube sound in a small package, this amp is awesome. For late night bedroom practice with a good set of headphones... I found this to be the best in class.

Nice review. Thanks!

jimmarchi1

agreed... so whats the story on this 1 watter? dual triode power amp? maybe a 12ax7 front end and a 12at7 delivering 1 or 2 watts in pushpull class a/b? you know what they say in hifi, its the 1st watt that counts....
