The Carlsbro VAC 15 Classic is a great sounding amp, that impresses with it´s simplicity

The 1x12 Inch, 15 watt, all valve combo from Carlsbro is my first all valve based amp. Previously I played a modeling amp with a digital amp simulation and a single valve preamp, but I always had the feeling to miss out the "real deal". After the first note I played on this amp I knew I`d get what I was searching for. The amp has a high and a low wattage channel. You can choose between the channels by plugging your guitar cable into the different input jacks. So far I only played the low wattage channel, but don´t be fooled by the 15 watts. With the gain and the master volume poti you can decide if you want to make your walls move with a rich clean tone or gritty overdriven sound. You won´t have the problem of not being present in a band. The three band eq bass/mid/treble lets you shape the sound in a subtle but effective way. For more clarity the amp provides a "bright" switch, that gives a nice treble boost. The inbuilt reverb is great, but not overwhelming. The fx loop will get the best out of your modeling pedals. In combination with a distortion or boost pedal you can take the Celestion greenback speaker to it´s full potential.

This amp provides everything I need to get sounds from rich cleans to gritty low gain overdrives. For more punch I use a simple Tubescreamer clone. Even in combination with a Big Muff Pi/Fuzz you´ll still have defined and dynamic tones. I bought this amp used with lose potis, but after tighten them up everything stays where it has to be. For the price I can't complain about nothing. I don´t think about buying a different amp for the next couple of years.
