(...) Dyna Soar distortion pedal -- this small homemade fuzzbox was reportedly loud enough to blow up an amplifier, so Kim began using it as a slide on songs like "Anagrama" and "Wildflower".
Used on "The Rapture" and "Galaxy Of Tears", as specified in this July 20, 2012 breakdown of a A Fine Pink Mist gear list printed in the October 1996 issue of Young Guitar.
A blue unit was used live in 1993, as recalled by “SonicVI” in three forum posts.

I saw Urge Overkill back in '93 and one of them had a blue Dyna-Soar. I've never seen another until now.
I also recall King having a Real Tube overdrive, the black one, and Nash had just a volume pedal and a pedal called a Dyna Soar which I've never seen since. It was blue and small, like MXR sized, maybe Memphis?
Also, this isn't the same pedal that Sonic Youth used. They used a regular Dyna Soar, not the Dyna Soar Lite. I remember when I saw Urge Overkill back in 1993 they had one too.
