Critic Reviews

V18-212 Review: That amp was amazing and I haven't really found anything close... | Crate | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

While the Crate V18-212 boasts a promising feature set for the price, its sound quality leaves much to be desired. The amp struggles with muddled tones, overpowering bass, and ineffective reverb, overshadowing its smooth overdrive potential. Despite solid construction, its performance fails to justify any modifications or the hype around tube amps. Ultimately, it serves as a cautionary tale that quality often trumps the allure of tubes in budget amplifiers. Proceed with caution.

Not bad at all!!

Simple and with a good enough tone (depending on what effects you use). I like how it makes my Korg AX3000G's distortion sound. For 18watts, you can't go wrong gigging with this amp, except that it is pretty big and bulky. Does pretty well in live gig situations.
