Fender Hot Rod DeVille Michael Landau 212 Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Fender Hot Rod DeVille Michael Landau 60W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp is a versatile powerhouse ideal for pedal enthusiasts, offering superb single-coil tones and easy volume switching. Its collaboration with Michael Landau brings thoughtful design changes, enhancing its use as an effects platform. However, it falls short with humbuckers, sounding less nuanced and occasionally piercing. Still, its vintage-inspired build and tonal purity make it a standout choice for single-coil aficionados seeking a modern amp with a classic touch. At $1,099, it provides excellent value against boutique alternatives.

Clean Fender Sound

Finally got this wonderful amp. It's very basic and i love it for that... It's based on the Hot Rod Deville but it has no Master Volume and Drive channel. There's only a Clean section and a switch between two different volumes, plus a boost switch. It's an amazing pedal platform.
