The Crate GLX212 impresses with its robust 120-watt power, three channels, and a suite of 16 onboard effects, making it a versatile tool for players across genres. Reviewers laud its solid build and sound quality, emphasizing its exceptional value in the realm of lesser-known amp brands. Though not the flashiest option, its reliability and power make it a standout choice for metal enthusiasts and beyond. However, it's important to note that the overwhelmingly positive feedback may stem from users with limited experience with other brands, as many reviewers compare it to smaller, less powerful amps. Despite this, the GLX212's consistent high ratings underscore its appeal as a reliable workhorse for both gigging musicians and hobbyists alike.

Reliable solid state monster loaded with features

This was my first gigging amp. I only had 2 issues come up the entire time I used it. One, I forgot that there was a mute button before a set & thought the amp was broken for a solid 15 minutes before someone else figured it out. Two, the plastic handle broke after a few years of use -- so make sure you hold it from below too.

The backbone

Mean, dirty, punctual, yet so classy. For cheap this amp is everything you can ask for, including a tuner, on board effects, and even lights for the knobs. Overall, a kickass, reliable combo amp.
