Description

Introducing the Electro-Harmonix Wailer Wah, a pedal that boasts the award-winning sound and tone of the revered Crying Tone Wah, but with an added touch of tradition. It features a rack and pinion-style operating mechanism that brings a sense of familiarity to your performance.

Electro-Harmonix Wailer Wah review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Electro-Harmonix Wailer Wah is a budget-friendly pedal that impresses with its rich, round tone. While it might not boast the smoothest operation, its affordability and sonic quality make it a compelling choice for those looking to explore wah effects without breaking the bank. The lightweight build might be a bit tricky for live performances, but its sound more than compensates for any physical drawbacks. Ideal for home use or lighter gigging, this wah is a great entry point for budget-conscious players seeking a unique tonal character.

Decent home cooking Wah

This wah pedal tonewise is like home cooking, nothing too fancy but nothing too unexpected either. The plastic enclosure is nothing I'd worry about, it seems sturdy and durable. The activation switch is a bit stiff, which may get better with age, otherwise some WD-40 could help. The range of the effect could be a bit bigger, but you can get some funky tones out of it as well as some Kirk Hammet soloing stuff.

Great pedal.

Nice stompbox. The only problem is that the pedal housing is made of plastic.

The Dunlop Cry Baby is kind of the industries standard for Wah. When the Cry Baby is fine dinig the Wailer Wah is more like home cooking, not that expensive, but also not that special.
