Great guitar
This was the first "real" electric guitar that I ever purchased. Mine's a left-handed sunburst model like in the picture. I had to rewire it because the leftie models are wired differently from the righty models in a way that make it so where the knobs don't work correctly. I replaced the aged yellow plastics with regular white ones and then replaced those with black plastics and a matching black pickguard. Electronics are mine are all stock. It distorts really nice and the neck pickup has a really nice "jazzy" tone. It's a nice, twangy, bell-like guitar, great for cutting leads or chunky rhythm-playing. The "comfort contour" body makes it comfortable to play and the two-point bridge stays in tune well when using the tremolo arm. It's a very versatile guitar, great for a wide range of genres like rock, jazz, country, blues, and funk. It's a joy to play. I highly recommend.

Reliable main guitar
Classic Fender tone with nothing scarily unfamiliar. Kind of lacks in low end and midrange frequencies, but it takes gain very well and has good sustain. Run the single coils close to the strings, turn the master volume on a JCM-800 up all the way and use the preamp gain for adjustments. Pure rock power.
