Description
Introducing the Fender American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster, the guitar for the curious and innovative musician. This instrument is not just a guitar, it's a creative tool that allows you to explore a universe of acoustic and electric tones. Powered by Fender and Fishman's groundbreaking Acoustic Engine, the guitar gives you versatility at your fingertips.
The Acoustasonic Jazzmaster features an offset spruce and mahogany SIRS body that resonates like an acoustic, but without the feedback issues. The guitar is designed for comfort during long playing sessions, courtesy of its slim, fast-playing neck and effortless electric-style playability across the 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
At the heart of this guitar are three pickup systems—the new Fender Acoustasonic Shawbucker, a Fishman undersaddle transducer, and a Fishman Acoustasonic Enhancer. These systems are blended and shaped by the Acoustic Engine and controlled with an intuitive modulation knob, allowing you to craft your signature tone that ranges from vintage-style cleans to snarly rock tones.

Great Daily Player
I was very skeptical about the Acoustasonic line, until I finally played one. I loved the design of the Jazzmaster and when I finally got my hands on one, I was very surprised at how great it played/sounded. I enjoyed it so much, that I ordered one. Unplugged, this guitar is great for songwriters who don't need a louder guitar when writing. It's not too quiet and not too loud. It sounds great straight in to an interface, but once you dial in a bit of EQ and reverb, it's an absolute dream. I've used it on multiple recordings and will use it consistently live. Highly recommended!

Great write up! I was at the NAMM show where Fender rolled these out (Winter 2020, I believe), with a buddy who is a great jazz-educated guitar player, and he was really surprised by these too. He really took to 'em, was jamming away right on the showfloor, unplugged. I doff my hat to Fender trying something new, and apparently succeeding. :)
