Description
The Fender Kurt Cobain Jag-Stang Left-handed Electric Guitar - an instrument that echoes a revolutionary music era and the genius behind it. Paying tribute to the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's pivotal record Nevermind, this left-handed guitar embodies the spirit of Kurt Cobain's iconic music and unique style. Crafted with Cobain's favorite features from the Fender Jaguar and Mustang, the Jag-Stang was brought to life by the Fender Custom Shop in 1993, and it quickly became an emblem of grunge and alternative rock.
This guitar is not just an homage, but a fully functional instrument designed for modern musicians. The alder body produces a punchy tone, perfect for powerful chords and riffs. Its 24" short-scale eases string tension, making it a comfortable play. The 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard and maple neck offer a smooth, fatigue-free experience for your hands.
The vintage-style single-coil and custom humbucking pickups, along with Mustang slider switches, provide a broad range of tonal options. This combination allows you to dial in four distinct settings, offering a palette of in-phase or out-of-phase tones - perfect for recreating Kurt's classic sounds or finding your own voice.

Easy to play, feels light, small enough to not hurt my back, made a custom sunburst finish so that it looks like I know what I’m doing. I have average sized hands but the small neck makes it perfect for singing along playing.
Swapped the $hit original pickups for SP Custom buckers, push‑pull coil split volume knob, a simple 3‑way switch… all I need to rock.
Cos' yeah, mexican original electronics are THAT bad. Makes this the perfect excuse to mod it your way.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Use 10‑52 strings if you’re a lead player, or 11‑52 if you’re more into chords and not big bends. Learned the hard way that 10‑46 doesn’t give the resonance you might need. Sustain’s great though. Unplugged, it’s naturally less strong and airy than a Japanese Cobain Mustang, but that’s just the Jag‑Stang’s lightweight incidence.
