Description

Brian had by far one of the simplest pedalboards, with little over a handful of effects on a piece of plywood. Though you could not hear Van Halen type phasing in his licks, he would set the swoosh to a very low rate to color but not completely change his tone. If you are looking for a song specifically, take the hit "Don't Stop Me Now" from their 1978 album Jazz. If you listen to the isolated guitar track to the song, you can hear a slight "wooshing" sound from the phaser. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvIzOqfGGlU Here is the link for the isolated track)

Another song that really shows his phaser is the beginning of "Keep Yourself Alive" By its release date, 1973, Dr.May has had and used that pedal since the beginning of Queen. For an actual article to prove his pedal chain contained the phaser, look at the link below going over the treble boosters he used and (crtl + f) to search for phaser.
