DOD Phasor 201 Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The DOD Phasor 201 reissue impresses with vintage charm and modern upgrades, delivering rich, natural phasing with its simple single-knob design. Its lightweight aluminum enclosure and true-bypass switching are welcome additions, maintaining warmth and clarity across clean and dirty tones. While some may crave more control, the pedal's near-perfect voicing keeps low-end mud-free, making it versatile for various settings. At just under $100, it's a nostalgic steal, though it lacks a battery door and offers limited effect control. Overall, it's a great choice for those seeking straightforward, quality phasing.

DOD Overdrive Preamp 250, Phasor 201 and Gonkulator review

guitar.com

The DOD Phasor 201 is a nostalgic nod to vintage phasers, offering a warm, subtle modulation that doesn't overpower your sound. With its single speed control, it might lack tonal flexibility, but its charm lies in its simplicity and rich, vintage character. Compared to its more dramatic counterparts like the MXR Phase 90, the Phasor 201 is for those seeking a more understated effect. The build quality is solid, and at under £130, it offers great value. However, if you're after bold phasing sweeps, you might need to look elsewhere.

DOD Phasor 201 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The DOD Phasor 201 is a charming throwback to simpler times, offering a single-knob design that makes it incredibly user-friendly. Its two-stage phasing is reminiscent of the Phase 45, providing a mellow, musical character that can shift from a gentle, watery haze to a fast, rotary speaker-like warble. While it may not boast a wide array of tones, its simplicity is its strength, delivering reliable and musical phasing that fits well with various playing styles. Ideal for those seeking a straightforward and classic phaser experience, though tone chasers might find it limited.

Really good

I used this and it does a good job. Just a knob and dial it simple as that. Really good standalone sound. Classic. Perfect. One thing I don't get is that the batteries drain on these things really easily. The older pedals like these don't have a light or show that it's on. But yeah love this thing.

A phaser that goes to 11.

Want an phaser that goes to 11? DOD Phasor 201 can go to 13. One minus is that they use a different than standard 9v DC cable.

Superb Phasor

This pedal is sounds far better and more natural than any modern day phasor (including the MXR Phase 90). The only down side is that it's not true-bypass (which is not a huge problem for me) and it doesn't have an LED - you have to use your ears to hear whether it's on or off.
