Description
Unveiling the resurrected legend, the Electro-Harmonix Bad Stone Nano. A reincarnation of the eminent 1970s Bad Stone Phaser Shifter, this piece of art is a faithful reflection of its vintage predecessor. It's a marriage of tradition and modernity, mirroring the original circuit design and three-knob control layout, with contemporary enhancements to cater to the modern musician.
The Bad Stone Nano emits an astounding six stages of phase shifting, enveloping your sound in a deep, lush phase tone. It even comes equipped with a manual mode that lets you freeze the phase to your liking, giving you the freedom to dial in your perfect filtered tone.
Its rate knob controls the phase-shifting speed, taking you on a sonic journey from a slow, ambient swoosh to a rapid, oscillating warble. With the feedback control, you can customize the depth of the phase effect to your taste. The Auto/Manual switch is another defining feature of this pedal, allowing you to freeze the phase shift, making it a versatile addition to your gear.
With a true bypass for maximum signal path integrity, an LED indicator for effect status and a standard EHX9.6DC power supply AC jack, the Electro-Harmonix Bad Stone Nano combines vintage charm with modern functionality, making it a must-have for today's guitarist.
Key Features:
- Six stages of phase shifting for a rich, immersive sound

- Auto/Manual switch that lets you freeze the phase
- True bypass for maximum signal integrity

Weird and Wild Phaser From EHX
Another fantastic Electro-Harmonix pedal that's built to last.
This Phase Shifter is great. It produces more variations in sound than I'll ever need or use. But it's there "just in case".
I picked mine up because EHX had a great price reduction ($58 at the time of this writing) and did not want to spend a ton of money on a pedal I might not like. The good news is that I love this thing, and you probably will too.

Sounds great, terrible footswitch
Very good sounding pedal, a 6 stage phaser with great controls. Circuit itself is truly awesome but as everyone said, the footswitch quality is terrible. Mine broke within the first 2 months of occasional use (as phasers are most commonly used). I changed it for a 2 dollar switch from china and it has worked perfectly for years so I can only imagine how cheap are the ones they originally use.

It's Not Just a Phase, Mom
Crank the rate and feedback and you’ve now got a motorcycle engine sound effect at your disposal.

Great effect, bad QC
I love the actual effect of this pedal, it’s nice and thick, but the QC on this pedal (along with most new EHX pedals) is simply unacceptable. The footswitch buzzes if I step on it, and the input/output jacks are noisy, and cut in and out.

... jus added to my board, along with a Phase 90
Just added the bad Stone for use with my trusty old Phase 90 Found out days later the Mu-Tron BiPhase is/was available as a re-issue ... now to grab one of those as well I guess.
.10-19-19 .. just returned it to GC this morning. Having a Phase 90 and just added a Mercury Flanger tothe Fx line, and Gc's 45 return policy I got to take it back for a refund rather than take a loss / have it sit around collecting dust.

... the Mercury Flanger comes stock with 3 preset Fx types and allows you to install 3 additional via their iOS / Android / Desktop from their site. So I added 4 stage, 6 stage phase shifting and another flanger style, so the unit now has 3 flangers, 2 phase shifters and a chorus on tap

Versatile
Sold my Phase 90 and got this after seeing in in Reverb's "Potent Pairings: Tame Impala" video. The manual setting pairs nicely with a fuzz pedal. I keep the feedback around 4 O'Clock and love it.

Immense sound in a simple design
The bad stone phase shifter gives you multiple tones to experiment and never get tired. With two modes, very different, you can play with the settings and get a new sound everytime.
