Description

Inspired by the bravery and spirit of WWII volunteer pilot, Lillian Yonally, the Walrus Audio Lillian Phaser is an all-analog, true bypass pedal that brings a rich, multi-staged phasing effect to your music. Drawing its control layout from the Julia, the Lillian is packed with a wide array of phaser goodness waiting to be dialed in.

The innovative "Stages" switch allows you to select between 4 or 6 stages, altering the overall voice of the effect from a warm, tight phasing with 4 stages, to a more complex filtered sound with 6. The standout D-P-V knob allows you to blend between dry, phase shifted, and vibrato sounds, offering a wide range of control over the intensity and type of effect.

The Lillian comes in an Emerald Sky Blue enclosure featuring artwork by Cape Town illustrator, Christi du Toit. Top mounted input, output, and power jacks, along with soft switch relay bypassing, ensure the Lillian is an easy and smooth addition to your board.

Key Features:

  • Analog phaser effects pedal
  • Relay-based true bypass switching with soft switch

Walrus Audio Lillian Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

Walrus Audio's Lillian is a standout phaser pedal that excels in versatility and ease of use. Its expansive control options allow guitarists to navigate from subtle textures to vibrant, swirling effects effortlessly. The intuitive design and responsive knobs invite experimentation, making it a joy to play. However, the pedal's high-mid forward voice may not cater to those seeking a more vintage, gooey sound, potentially alienating traditional phaser enthusiasts. Overall, while it sacrifices some warmth for brightness, the Lillian's modern approach and unique capabilities make it a worthy addition for players looking to enhance their tonal palette.

Review: Walrus Audio Lillian

guitar.com

Walrus Audio’s Lillian is a tonal playground for phaser enthusiasts, boasting impressive tweakability and a rich, chewy core sound. Its array of controls, including rate, width, and feedback, allows for a spectrum of modulation effects, from shimmering to pulsating. The innovative soft-switching footswitch enhances its usability, making it perfect for fleeting phasey accents. However, its reliance on a 9-volt mains supply and a relatively high price point may deter some players. Overall, the Lillian stands out as a creative tool for those willing to invest.

I bought this pedal yesterday, today I tried it for the entire afternoon and all I can say is: awesome! I didn't even explore its settings that much yet... but it's clear that this pedal sounds GREAT, and it just asks you to mess with it
