At the 5:40 mark of the video Goransson is shown using the GForce Oddity2
Pierre Bourne uses the preset titled "Academia Lead" in Young Nudy's "Long Ride" beat.
John Foxx's comments on the Oddity2, from the GForce website: "From the moment this thing opened it had the sound - all the edge, aggression, shape shifting, traumatic, electronic, miasmatic, destructive, inter-dimensional presence of an Odyssey at its peak. Power, disgrace and cruel, supple beauty. A stupendous ingenious feat of digital programming architecture. Lots of assets, agents and extras - and true meaty fx for more sonic mutation of the right kind. A proper instrument. You can ride it like a tidal wave. With confidence. Now these things have become antiques, you'd have to remortgage to assemble the vintage gear to reproduce this sound from its original sources - valve amp, analogue flanger, Space Echo, etc. Then there's ongoing maintenance. Here it is in transferable digits. Immoral and surreal, like downloading 1979, but less of a liability."
Q. Does Oddity2 make an appearance on Doppel and if so can you give a name of a track where it’s easily spotted?
"Yes. When we started working on the prototype back in 2014 I found a sound that actually started my whole album off. I loved it because it was a rubbery, repeating sound that reminded me of Steve Reich in 2050. It was just mad and I laid it down before playing some viola over it. It was very inspiring and that eventually became the track Gleam.
On Tremolo Shudder it was used for the bass part. That’s a tough sound with some amazing character.
In Full Cry, was all Oddity2 except the flappy rhythmic sound, which is Omnisphere. I used the sounds that I downloaded from your site earlier this year. Programmed by PKH. I loved them!
At the end of Viola Reach there’s a lovely rough, distorted sound from Oddity2 too."
"I love the Gforce stuff – the Oddity 2 is my favourite. Obviously, you want to find your own sound, but there are some bloody good presets in there. I really like my Super Jupiter module. There’s also the new Roland Boutique modules. I have the JX and JP ones. I was thinking of incorporating them into the Blancmange setup to see if we could get Blancmange in a smaller box, but you have to daisychain them together to get the polyphony."
