Description
The Gibson Jackson Browne Signature Acoustic Guitar is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, crafted to meet the discerning standards of musicians and collectors alike. Drawing inspiration from Jackson Browne's own 1930s-era models, this guitar embodies the natural acoustic tone that has captivated audiences worldwide. Gibson’s master luthiers collaborated with Browne over five years, refining every aspect to ensure an instrument that sings with historical resonance and modern precision.
This guitar features an Adirondack red spruce top, famed for its ability to produce a rich, resonant sound, complemented by eco-friendly English walnut back and sides. The 12th fret-to-body design adds to its distinctive character, while the extra deep body ensures unparalleled depth and power in tone. The neck, crafted from a single piece of mahogany, boasts a custom width and a modified light V shape for a comfortable playing experience.
Equipped with the Trance Audio Amulet Pickup system, this guitar delivers authentic acoustic sound even when amplified, making it perfect for both intimate venues and larger stages. The attention to detail is evident in the Indian rosewood fingerboard adorned with abalone slotted diamond inlays and the gold-plated Waverly tuning machines. On this Rig Tour with Tim Mcilrath, identifies an acoustic that he uses on tour. It was introduced to him by Jackson Browne who let him use it, to which he bought his own.
Based on the classic 1930s Jumbo body style, with elements of the rare and legendary Roy Smeck model at Browne's request—a guitar known for its powerful sound and rich tonal quality—the Jackson Browne Model has an increased body depth for enhanced resonance and projection, upgraded tonewoods throughout, including an eco-friendly English Walnut back and sides, and a 12th fret neck/body joint to optimize it to fingerstyle performance. The Model A version of the Jackson Browne Signature Model also carries a hand-made internal audiophile-grade Trance Audio Amulet Pickup System of an entirely innovative and original design, which enables it to take all of its acoustic splendor flawlessly to the biggest stages in the world, while the Model 1 comes without pickup. All this, and it looks superb in a custom Vintage Sunburst finish in hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer, with elegant appointments to complement its exclusive design.
