Description

The Gibson Memphis ES-339 Satin 2015 is a masterful blend of vintage allure and modern comfort, capturing the iconic sound of its larger ES-335 sibling in a more compact form. This semi-hollowbody electric guitar is perfect for players who appreciate the full-bodied resonance of a hollowbody but prefer the feel of a solidbody instrument. Crafted with a lightly-arched maple top and a solid maple center block, it nimbly balances harmonic richness with feedback resistance and sustain.

Embedded within its sleek frame are BurstBucker humbuckers, revered for their ability to deliver the classic PAF tone that defined an era of rock and blues. The mahogany neck, topped with a rosewood fingerboard, offers a smooth playing experience, making it versatile enough for any genre. Whether you're laying down some jazzy licks or diving into a bluesy solo, the ES-339 responds with clarity and depth.

Every detail of the Gibson Memphis ES-339 showcases Gibson's dedication to quality and craftsmanship, from the precise Plek Pro setup ensuring flawless action and intonation, to the vintage-style nickel hardware that completes its classic aesthetic. This guitar is not just an instrument; it's a piece of Gibson's storied legacy, ready to add its voice to your musical journey.

339 is not for everybody, but it works for a great many.

Okay, so we have all read the 'it's a small 335' posts and reviews. Which it basically is, but the ES-339, owing to its slightly smaller dimensions has a certain growl all of it's own. In the hands it feels like a Les Paul without the weight.

The Memphis tone circuit is very practical, when you roll off the volume, you don't lose that cutting top end.

The satin finish does make this model more affordable, okay it may not be as sexy as the gloss finish found on more expensive models, but if you can live with this cosmetic limitation, save yourself enough to buy some other toys.

This axe will do it all, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock it even does hi-gain metal should that be your fix. There is a huge amount of different tones available, always paired with immense playability.

What a gorgeous piece of equipment.

Its the first Gibson I decided to keep. Somehow they finally got it right in regards to tuning, playability and tone all in the same guitar.
