Awesome lil' parlor size guitar-
Mine is a 1968 Harmony Stella (as close as I could tell). Starting at early 60’s Harmony started to build and mark necks as “steel reinforced”...but it still was not quite a truss rod as you cannot make any adjustment. Also has the Fender 6 in line strat style headstock (I've replaced the tuners and stored the originals) I'm fairly certain that it was built from birch- top, sides, and back. Makes for a dark “woody” sound w/o much sustain.
It's a favorite to keep in a stand by the couch, travel with on vacations, take camping, etc. It still plays well with no fret buzz anywhere despite my having treated it pretty rough over the years. I have used it on a few releases of my own but it's been on tons of sessions I've done w/ other people. Actually the top 3 guitars that get picked up in recording sessions here are the Epiphone (acoustic 12), the Silvertone (electric 6), and the Stella (all on my board). There's just something magical about this guy. Think it's had the same strings for like 5-6 years. They are going up in price unfortunately (I think I paid $20 bucks for mine?) but if you can find one in good nick at a fair price, try it out-you might just find a gem.
