While the Jackson X Series King V KVXT garners praise for its superb build quality and attractive price point, it falls short in tonal versatility. The stock EMG pickups are decent but lack the punch needed for lead playing, especially lower notes. It's a solid choice for rhythm guitarists who cherish classic rock, but the sustain and tonal depth might disappoint those aiming for shredding excellence. Although it's top-heavy and requires some setup adjustments, its overall reliability is commendable. In summary, it’s a good option for beginners or budget-conscious players, but serious shredders may want to consider upgrades or alternatives.

In this Youtube video at 6:00, Dave can be seen using a Jackson X Series King V KVXT Burnt Cherry Sumburst. This version uses a pickup switch like a stratocaster (there’re other versions with a les paul switch), but his guitar has some differences, it has one more knob, other pickups (probably Seymour Duncan) and a Kahler bridge (fixed). I just found him using it on this live. It has been happened at 1998.
