Description

Reviving the spirit of the 1970s, the Korg miniKORG 700FS is a captivating blend of retro charm and modern innovation. This limited-edition synthesizer is a tribute to Korg's first mass-produced monophonic synth, now enhanced with features that make it a must-have for both seasoned musicians and synth enthusiasts. The intuitive layout of controls beneath the keys ensures ease of use, staying true to the original design ethos.

Housed in a robust metal chassis with wooden side panels, the miniKORG 700FS not only sounds authentic but looks the part too. Enhanced connectivity options, including MIDI and CV/GATE inputs, make it a versatile tool for any modern setup. Korg miniKORG 700FS

soundonsound.com

The Korg miniKORG 700FS beautifully captures the essence of its '70s predecessor with modern enhancements like an arpeggiator, aftertouch, and a spring reverb, making it a joy to play. Its aesthetics are striking, and the added functionalities truly elevate the user experience. However, with only 14 patch memories and some inconsistencies in sound compared to the original, it may frustrate purists. The hefty price tag also raises eyebrows, given its limitations compared to cheaper alternatives. Still, for those who cherish vintage synth vibes, this instrument is likely to be a beloved addition.

Quick change of gears…and a change of gear. Arenas in the round, then a historic theater, now South & Central American stadiums, not in the round.

So it’s back to my rejigged TINAD tools taken out of mothballs after a ride on a cargo ship, along with my buddy, Seamus, who doesn’t smell remotely like mothballs & flew by air, thankfully.

And reunited with my amazing Vintage Vibe piano & MiniKorg FS700. I don’t know how I went without them these past 4 months. Playing & sounding better than ever. ❤️
