The History of L Benito Guitars
In 2000, Lito Benito was head luthier for Taylor guitars in USA, before moving back to his native Chile to start his own company.
Lito is a true gentleman, master luthier and very accessible to his customers. Lito had worked for both Martin and as the Master Luthier for Taylor, in the USA, and wanted to offer comparable quality instruments in his own country.
From there, and as a shoot off of Avalos, LBenito guitars was born. Alerce, the wood used on the top, comes from trees that are estimated to be over 3,000 years old. Lito had a small stockpile and used it to make the tops of some of the models in his product line up, and only 60 were made using this special wood.
